Summary of Set-up and First Turn

So after a bit of a rough start we were able to set up the campaign board for the first turn and play our first round of battles.

Challenges and Battles

  • Kris Snyder challenges Justin Tucker: The Armies of Sir Stephen and Devorator fight over the hex of 05:03. Stephen and his crusading knights emerge victorious. As a spoil of war the limits on Specials or Rare for this army are lifted to +25% in it's next battle. The army of beastmen are captured and the beastlord Devorator is captured in personal combat by Sir Stephen.
  • Rob Morris challenges Jon Sullenberger for control of hex 08:11. The armies of former Arch Lector Clauswitz and ___ fight. Rob Morris is defeated and retreats. The lizardmen have a bonus of 50 pts in their next battle from the spoils of war from this battle.
  • Jared Kunz challenges David Rothstein for control of hex 13:04. The Empire army of general Arch Lector Falkenrath fights the vampire lord The Blood Count. After a cannon ball to the face, The Blood Count's army crumbles under the might of the advancing sigmarites. After claiming the battlefield, Falkenrath found a relic and a magic item worth 20 pts in the battlefield debris. Without the powers of necromancy to keep the undead horde together the undead disperse. The Blood Count must spend a turn recovering from his wounds.
  • John Warbringa challenges Jake Haas. Gorthak the Terrible defeats the army of Chaos Lord Saar Krynn in battle at hex 03:11. The army of Chaos Lord Krynn retreats to their fortress capital. A unit of Black Orcs becomes a regiment of renown for glorious deeds on this battlefield, gaining a free banner worth 10 pts. A chaos spawn in Lord Krynn's army was knocked on the head in the battle and is effected by stupidity in its next battle. Both players gained two relics for fighting a battle adjacent to the flying fastness.
  • Alex Fulmer challenges Dan Collison for control of hex 11:13. The high elves under the command of Alex defeat the Dan's vampires, causing the vampires to retreat back towards their castle. The vampires have learned to fear the elves, but are angry and thirst for revenge. In the next game Alex and Dan play against each other all of Dan's units will have both hatred and fear for high elves.

Lee - Hexes 02:06 and 04:09 claimed. Wizards tower built at 02:09. Found a relic and magic item worth 30 pts in the mine.
Jake V. - Hexes 07:06 and 07:07 claimed. Needs to resolve fight with Jake H. Found a relic and magic item worth 30 pts in the mine.
Dave - Hex 14:07 claimed. Other army defeated in roll-off battle and retreats. Found 200 pts of extra equipment for the next battle in his mines.
Rob - Army at 13:06 wins roll-off battle and claims hex. Wizards tower built on hex 10:08. Found 200 pts of extra equipment for the next battle in his mines.
